As every person has the right to live and die with peace, dignity, and comfort, hospice care provides a team-oriented approach to expert medical care, pain management, and emotional and spiritual support tailored to the patient's individual needs and wishes, with support extended to loved ones.

PACE Experience:

.....Students in this class will receive special training from Hospice staff and will volunteer 4-5 hours per week on-site assisting patients, families, and staff. You will work with team members and become an integral part of a patient's care and transition process. Students should have reliable transportation as you may sometimes be called upon to assist with the physical needs of the patient or family through this transition and bereavement process.
